Jonah Hill ‘files legal petition to change his name’
Jonah Hill has filed a petition to change his surname, it has been claimed.
The 38-year-old, who has been a staple of the big screen for decades, is known professionally as Jonah Hill – but his last name is actually Feldstein. He chose to drop this and adopt his middle name publicly, and is reportedly looking to make the change legal.
According to documents obtained by TMZ, the 21 Jump Street actor submitted paperwork in LA earlier this week, requesting the swap. The outlet reports that he is simply wanting to keep his stage name as his legal moniker, while his sister Beanie Feldstein will keep their family name as her own.
Jonah recently made headlines when he announced that he would no longer be promoting his upcoming movies, after speaking out over his battle with anxiety. The Hollywood icon, best known for his acclaimed roles in Superbad and Wolf of Wall Street among many others, previously shared an open letter ahead of the release of his latest project, Stutz, explaining his decision to step back from public-facing appearances.
