Swimsuit Issue: Vogue's Somewhat Misleading Headline

This headline on Vogue.com today was a pleasant surprise: WHOA! There's a swimsuit line that'll include sizes 00-32?! AND it's has Vogue 's seal of approval?! Of course it does. Lydia Maurer, creator of the Phylyda swimwear line, once worked for Yves Saint Laurent, Givenchy and Paco Rabanne. It sounds like the high fashion plus size line so many woman are waiting for is finally here! Still psyched? Read on: Oh. Is it disappointing to find out that Plylyda only goes up to a size 18, or that Vogue editors consider "all shapes and sizes" sizes 4-18? While fans of fashion are cozying up to the body inclusivity movement, Vogue —what many fashion insiders consider the fashion bible—is slowly getting used to the idea, even if their aim is off.
